Rubber Duck is a small, independent Mac app built by Chris, its founder. It started from a simple habit: talking through problems out loud to think them through, the way programmers "rubber-duck" a bug. The app turns that habit into something useful, transcribing what you say entirely on your Mac and filing it as clean, searchable notes.
Everything is built around two beliefs: your voice and your notes should stay private on your own machine, and software should work with the AI subscription you already pay for instead of nickel-and-diming you with its own API bill.
Think out loud. Rubber Duck writes it down.
On-device transcription that files your ideas and meetings as searchable notes.
